you can also become popular by following people that will follow you back
another way to become popular is to have a flashy icon (eg. colourful, gif etc.)

Right - please avoid making duplicate or superfluous guides in New Scratchers. Most of the time you should not be making a new thread in this forum unless you are a New Scratcher introducing yourself to the community.
