In the 3 (or four if watched on cable) part finale, bill cipher (illuminati demon) released a ton of chaos/demons and forced an apocalypse, people went into hiding and many people were caught (and later revealed to be turned into stone for a throne for bill cipher) and the main characters (and some side characters, including but not limited to: several thousand gnomes, a boy band, a con man, and a bear) were forced to hide in the mystery shack (main house for main characters) and some others to be, locked in a dream, riding in the dunes, or literally hiding in a car dealership, until everyone found each other and hatched a plan (for like an entire part) including: anime studying, gun swords, giant mechanical shacks, and a montage, then they actually went to fight bill, to find that he has a few of his friends fight off the mech for a bit, surprise surprise, the giant mechanical shack wins, then everyone parachutes to the giant floating pyramid lair of bill cipher, then the main 2 kids get trapped, being a hostage, then before a man saves them (uncle) to entrap the twin uncles, then after realizing the kids escaped, bill started to chase them, blah blah blah, now the other uncle (the one who didn't save the kids) has to enter his own mind with bill to burn bill cipher down once and for all, but his memories are gone, so, people crying then everyone reading a book to make his memories literally come back from the dead, and that's the finale of gravity falls
