Here's some PROPER electronic dance music:

“Get Up On It Like This” // The Chemical Brothers
“Weapon of Choice” // Fatboy Slim Clarification: It's ‘funk’ at the start.
“Au Seve” // Julio Bashmore

Here's some non-mainstream (and very dancable) electronic music.

I usually dislike mainstream music, but I just liked it enough to put it here. I was trying to give a spectrum of EDM genres as well, so I might as well include a few more songs.
  • Virtual Riot - Energy Drink (complextro)
  • Nitro Fun - Dragonfly (complextro)

thank you for posting this

but seriously, sometimes I don't agree with your music choice (into more giltch-hop, house stuff now instead of heavy dubstep), but I love fatboy

Some of my favorite stuff:
Illmerica // Wolfgang Gartner
Art of Revolution // Bassnectar (I lied have some dubstep)
“The Prime Time Of Your Life / The Brainwasher / Rollin' & Scratchin' / Alive” // Daft Punk
Newjack // Justice (All their stuff is good, just picked this one from memory)
Finally Moving // Pretty Lights (You might recognize the same sample from Avicii's Levels. Or that horrible theft of Levels by Florida or whatever. This was made a couple years before Levels.)
Also I've been listening to a little trap (I think this is trap…?) and found it ok.
Groove // Oiki

Some trap is ok (Blood Diamonds and UZ) but its hard to find alot of non-generic stuff out there.

Meanwhile, I'm glad that someone else likes Alive 2007! It's probably one of the best live albums out there (Meowingtons Hax and A Cross The Universe are other good ones).

I used to like the really heavy dubstep, but now I'm moving towards glitch hop, complextro, and electro house.

Yeah, A Cross The Universe is good. It's nice to see another Justice fan :p

Yep, I think its alot better than Access All Arenas.

Anyway, have you heard of The Bloody Beetroots? Their music sounds very similar to Justice's and is just as good. “Spank” (ft. TAI and Bart B More) // The Bloody Beetroots

Right now I'm listening to Fall Out Boy- Alone Together (Krewella Remix). I'm not a huge fan of Krewella, but this one is really upbeat and awesome!

It's actually a rework of a really old song by deadmau5 called TL7. I agree that his techno work may be a bit iffy, but he has made some amazing techno songs in the past (1981, Dr. Funkenstein, Mellefresh collab work).

What do people think of trance? I know most people hate it because it's boring, and I can only agree most of the time. “Modern” trance is mostly garbage. But old trance and some new trance is really energetic and awesome. I might post some links soon.

Trance is ok. I'm not exactly into the whole club scene behind it, but stuff from Mat Zo or Above and Beyond is pretty good.

Anyway, I'm really into Rex the Dog at the minute.

I like This Is What it Feels Like // Armin van Buuren
#mainstream
I don't really follow trance music, but it is pretty much the only trance song I like. Not sure if it can even be classified as trance, I know so little about the genre.

I'm pretty sure that's progressive house

Here's a few good trance songs:
MaHi - Trance Pantz
Darude - Sandstorm (a classic) (warning: the music video has nothing to do with the song)
Maison & Dragen feat. Toni Nielson - Immortal Love
Omnia - The Light (4 Strings remix)

And now for an example of trance that I'm not too enthusiastic about:
Eminence - Halo
The reason:
Trance is supposed to be emotional and energetic. This song lacks energy and is too boring. The arps sound really cool, but the rest…

I'm sorry, but that drop was really disappointing. Sorry for picking on this song, but this is what I feel about most “modern” trance.
