I like it as well, though I would want to have a clearer way of telling unread messages apart of read ones (currently I believe read messages have a faded icon)

Also, it would be nice if the “filter by” option could be specified by URL, like at /messages/?filter=comments or /messages/comments

Honestly I would really like to have the pages back. If you want to go back to a message you received a while ago, you have to keep scrolling down and loading more comments for a ridiculous amount of time. I also dislike the fat message size, although i feel that maybe ST will go in and fix that soon, i've seen a lot of complaints about that.
I also notice that the heart/star/comment symbols for ‘read’ messages are more faded, which is good, but I would like it if the message itself was slightly faded too. (or that the new messages were darker, like in the old inbox). It would make scrolling new messages through a lot easier, instead of peering at the little symbols to see if it was read or unread.

Other than that I don't think i have too much against it. It's okay, definitely not terrific but i can live with it.

The only things I don't like is that you can't see your alerts and the new messages aren't labelled with grey like they were before.

No. Filters are awesome. They are so useful and the ST also made the messages page look pretty. No support.

Why are we even complaining about this? We have to move on people! If we can't accept change, the world will end up broke - nothing will work properly and we'll be stuck for a good while!

Also, for people who are complaining about messages not having pages, please complain to Google. They have a very very similar system which works well for many Google users. And keep in mind that this is newly released - of course it's going to have some odd patches but they will fix it when they get enough feedback

Exactly. No Support. I event made a studio that was against this suggestion. It gives me a headache.

Really, the only change that needs to be made is that Alerts SHOULD be visible to the user and not disappear immediately, and that instead of just darkening the icons the entire section should be a light grey to show that it is, indeed, new. I'd also like it if the usernames could actually be linked to in the message itself, as it currently does not link usernames in the new message.

Other than that, I like the layout and am fine with the way it is. Though having it read “Messages” at the top and then once again before the messages is a little redundant…

The username links are selectable in the messages, actually. It's just hard to see it because it doesn't change much when you hover the mouse over it.

Before you could go to https://scratch.mit.edu/messages/?page=100, and you'd see the messages from months to years ago (depending on how many messages you've gotten before). Now there's no `?page` URL..

I don't think they will revert. I hope they do decide to add back older features though. If you don't like the overall format, you could try out https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/274665/ It is a userscript that I helped write that reformats the message page to be more in the style of the previous version.

But… at least say why you would like the old message page. It doesn't mean nothing that “you miss that”.

No Support. Unless new one can be used too, this reverting will not happen. Yes there are bugs and things not featured, but you are simply just requesting removing them instead of telling Scratch Team to fix something or add something?

Besides, Scratch Team will not revert any update that they think won't cause complete harm. It's their new layout, so deal with it.
