The New Message Page
When I got on Scratch at one point yesterday, it said it was down for maintenance. I get on Scratch today, go to check my messages, and the message page has completely changed. And, well, I was wondering why it changed. Was it necessary? It's definitely going to take some time to get used too, especially for people who has been on Scratch for a long time, and are used to the old message page. I'm really used to the old one, and it will be hard to get used to.

It changed to match the new design of the website. The website has to be updated eventually. Just like they are updating Scratch to 3.0 the will update the website. It also make it much easier for mobile users to use the website. Yes, it will take a while to get used to it, but you will get used to it eventually. It will be for the better.

The whole site is slowly modernizing, and the change to the messages page makes it fit better with the homepage. It definitely is going to take some getting used to though

Another question, when Scratch updates to version 3.0, will I still have all my stuff, like my accounts, projects, and studios, etc, etc?

The thing that annoys me is that the unread messages are no longer yellow, making it much harder to tell at a glance which messages you've already read.

The New Message Page
Today I got on Scratch and I was like: “15 messages? How?” Then I clicked the button and it sended me to a completly new page that i've never seen before. I assumed it was the messages, but I was confused as of why did it change and why the messages that sounded like: “There was new activity in the studio Yandere RP” are not showing anymore…..

There is an icon to the left of the message that changes color.

It is soooo annoying, I had 5 messages and I read them about 10000 times and it still said I had 5 messages!

I'm getting used to it, but I think the text is too big.

It's part of the Scratch 3.0 upgrade so that it will be visible on mobile.

What is scratch messaging exstantion?
What's messaging extension
It's a Chrome Extension where you used to be able to reply to messages by clicking 1 button and typing. It saved you time from clicking the messages button and going to the page, pressing reply and then typing. It doesn't work anymore but it can still tell yuor how many messages you have when you are in the Project Editor.
