You can't. Why? Because they use up too much data on the Scratch server.

If I understand you correctly, you want to take the 1-minute FLA video that Scratch creates and use it in a project? Here are the steps.
1. Open the FLA video in a video editor or Photoshop.
2. Convert it to an Animated GIF file.
3. Click on the folder icon in the sprite panel on left side of Scratch editor to create a new sprite
4. Upload your GIF. Scratch will automatically assign frames to costumes.
5. Play using…
repeat (length of video)
next costume
wait (.1) secs
end

Any video editor can probably do it. Google can tell you better than I can what are the top video editors (and safe to use). OpenShot seems to be a popular free one.

Here are some instructions to help you:
1. Copy and paste the video you want to use.
2. Go to a GIF maker.
3. On the top search bar, paste the URL you copied.
4. Wait for it to load.
5. Make separate GIPHYs because of Scratch's MB limit.
6. Make sure they are in the same costume.
7. You are done!
I hope I helped!

6. ALTERNATE: Works better if you upload an Animated GIF as a new sprite using the file folder icon in the left hand sprite panel of the editor.

Hey folks - this thread is pretty old, and there's a good chance that the topic owner isn't watching this anymore. Please check the date of the topic before posting - and don't bump up old threads that have already been answered. This helps to ensure that the other (unanswered) questions will get the attention they need.
