How to sell Scratch projects?

Hi there! In the FAQ it said that you are allowed to sell projects that you made. If you wanted to, how would you do that? Would you post it on a website that sells projects or something?

when I receive [the correct answer]
if <[You answered the question] = [true]> then

say [Thanks for helping!]

You'd have to find a way to make eligible for a website like steam, and sell it through there. Or, put it on an app marketplace of some kind.

It's legal, but not really presently possible. I don't think anyone has ever commercially made money off their project.

Just because you are allowed to do something doesn't mean you can actually do it.

You are allowed to jump over the Mississippi River, but you can't do it.

To sell a Scratch project you would have to find someone willing to pay for it. Good luck with that.

I doubt it would get you much. Even one of griffpatch's games wouldn't make him much more than a dollar a game.

As others have said, it's permitted, but difficult to do. What the others haven't mentioned is if you have a very cool project, it would be difficult to find a way (without exploiting Scratch) to have a project on another site without it being shared for free here.

Selling scratch project, well you had to make it read only and the code can't be copied.
I won't recommend you sell a legit Scratch project, you might want to covent it to Scratch to SWF to exe file.
Check https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/49843898/ - Scratch to SWF

I can say more but I don't think you got Mum and Dad permission…

I disagree with you. You can host your project elsewhere, and bundle it with the open-source editor. If I'm not mistaken, you're allowed to sell it, but you have to make it clear Scratch itself is free.

However, I'm not sure– and I'm not a lawyer, and this isn't (and wasn't) legal advice.

I didn't say I wanted to, I was just wondering how.

Well, I kind of thought of that, but I didn't know if that was quite really the way to go.

I'm almost certain that is correct.

The Scratch Team also suggests this paragraph if Scratch is described elsewhere:
Scratch is a programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations – and share your creations with others around the world. In the process of designing and programming Scratch projects, young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. It is available for free at http://scratch.mit.edu

EDIT: Suggests, not necessarily requires.
