I have one question about making collabs, would you have to do it by remixing the project?

Remixes is usually the most common way to make a collaboration. This works by having a studio where the main project is, where people can remix it, add on, and put that in the studio, which makes an “update”. Another way- but more dangerous- is to create a new scratch account where everyone involved has the username or password, and then you can all access the same project. I have one question about making collabs, would you have to do it by remixing the project?

That's a good idea. If scratch programmers will make it, Scratch will be more functional and Scratch will be more popular. Scratchers will make better projects and they will learn to be a helpful part of their community.

I'm personally not comfortable with that statement - unless the collab members know each other in real life and are already sharing information because they are, say, sharing a computer - or are family members. Otherwise, I feel that the safety risks to the members are too high. The potential to abuse the account, or personal information stored in the account, for unmoderated communication is a big concern. <snip>
As long as every member consents to sharing information, the collaboration is okay. Knowing a little bit about everyone helps form trust among members and reduces the risk of sabotage.

If they are a family member or you are sharing a computer anyway, that would be okay. Otherwise, it's best if you use separate accounts. what if you know the person IRL?
hmm…. i did not know that. even though i dont share an account, i am working with my friend ChrissyCat ( not on scratch) to write a novel. is that ok? also, how do you comment on a forum?

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.
