I'm going to say support on this one. I made a topic about this a while ago, it's buried in the 100-something-th page now. ::control
Also, I'm not trying to blockspam here. I just wanted to post something like this. ::operators

Support! It would be especially good for people who don't like Audacity.

Support, as long as there's an upper limit preventing a “mosquito ringtone.”

You can already do that in Scratch…

Support! What if a Scratcher doesn't have easy access, if any, to another sound editing program? They should be able to change the pitch of something in Scratch. You could take sounds, whether imported or from the library, and pitch-shift them to make them sound more unique.

You can do this:
play note (9001 v) for (10) beats

Or just put it in as a sound and play it.

I know what you mean, putting sound shifters into the scratch editor, but couldn't you just do the same in audacity? Plus, it has more features.
Well its something you have to download so it would be easier if all of Audacity's features were also scratch features.
No support for that. Scratch is for programming, not for sound editing.

In the Sounds, we have the louder, softer, and reverse features right? Well, I have an idea.

In the Scratch Sound editor/player, you should be able to add a pitch shifter, so you can change the pitch of the sound.

If this is a duplicate of any topic sorry

I also thought about it. Maybe they could add a pitch block…

There is going to be one in Scratch 3.0, as a block.
Go to sounds, and search for “change effect (pitch v) to ()”

This suggestion is asking for a pitch shifting option in the sound editor, not via a block, so that one can upload a sound and change the pitch and then download it.

If you just want to change the pitch to download it, then just use Audacity.

Support for mainly the pitch on sound editor. Also for the block.
I feel like this'll be added in Scratch 3.0 though.
