Whenever you reply to a comment on a profile or a project it will start with the username of the person you are replying to. Sometimes you may not want that like when you are supporting someone's information, you are really talking to everyone. Other times you may forget that it will go there and it may make the comment make absolutely no sense. I also think this is not working because it may look like you are only talking to the person who is starting the comment, so I think that there should be a Checkbox at the bottom of the reply box when you are typing your reply that says “include username of” and them the person who you are replying to, so it is quick and easy to put the person's username, or you could just type a different username (especially if you are replying to your own comment). the Default could be the box is checked, to make it's default look like it does now. So that's my suggestion for the Scratch Team, I hope you agree!

I agree with @icecreamland52 , because not always is a scratcher talking to one person, which is why instead they should be allowed to reply freely without directy clicking “reply” to the person they want to mention. I want to add, that maybe instead of a default box, you can see your comment box looking like this:

(@username_idk ,enter text here

So when you're typing all you have to do is use the backspace key, and insert whatever username you want.

Support! You don't always face one person when talking.

Semi-support. When you reply you are not always talking to just one person. But, if there was a list of replies with different people you wouldn't know who your replying to.

Honestly, you can just put the names of all the other people you're replying to. It wouldn't send them a message saying you had replied to them as well, but neither does what you're proposing. And if it did, it would most probably get spammed. Also, I don't think it is likely that you forget about the name at the start thing once you get used to it. I just ignore it at this point

My conclusion? No support, it just isn't useful enough to merit the ST's attention in my opinion
