At a local Target, I saw one of those Genesis console Remakes, and it showed osme of the games on the box.
Sonic 2, for some reason, had a T rating.
But in reality: The game is rated E.

No idea why Sonic 2 gets T…or MK1 gets M…

Mortal Kombat is rated M for obvious reasons.
I think Sonic 2 getting rated T was probably just a typo or mistake.

*avoids inputting the code ‘A-B-A-C-A-B-B’* Seems E10+-worthy to me.

I have a feeling that Sonic Forces will be getting an E10+ rating.

Turns on blood and fatalities for the game, based off my sources.

It adds the removed (unrealistic) blood and gore.

It's only in the Genesis version, and you have to put it in a specific screen:

Ok, I thought you were talking about Sonic 2, and I was getting very confused.

Donkey Kong 64 was rated E, but I think the game had gun usage.
Please explain.
Splatoon has paintball guns, so an E10+ rating makes sense.
I know the E10+ rating didn't exist during the Nintendo 64's life.

It was entirely bloodless/very cartoony, and the ESRB probably figured a T rating for a Donkey Kong game would be ridiculous.

The second one, you mean?
That was for Lyrics.

I'm surprised that “Religious References” isn't a content descriptor.
Also, I think the ESRB is starting to give games that have “freemium” (like the Free-to-Start games on the 3DS eShop) content an “In-game purchases” descriptor.

That was a whole other matter. The lyrics in Donkey Konga 2 were too blatantly suggestive for an E or even an E10+ rating. (The game was PEGI 3 and CERO A since neither of those rating boards fuss about lyrics.)

No, it was because it had different songs.

Also, why was M&S Rio 2016 rated E10+? Sports game + Mario game would logically = E rating.
