When is Scratch 2.1 coming out?

Scratch 2 is actually Scratch 2.435 already! (The editor version.) They renamed Scratch 2.0 to Scratch 2 a while ago because Scratch 2 is online and can have many minor revisions without anyone knowing. So if Scratch got a major change, it would probably be called Scratch 3 instead.

The name of the offline editor app is Scratch 2, and currently it's version 435.

No, it's Scratch 2 (the app name), version 435. The previous version (v434a) was Scratch 2, version 434.1 since Adobe Air doesn't allow version numbers to have letters. Adobe Air only allows version numbers to go up to 999, so I'm assuming Scratch will go to Scratch 3, version 1 eventually.

It probably won't. The Scratch Team said somewhere that scratch 3 probably won't come out any time soon. Right now they're just making minor changes.

Scratch 3.0 is supposed to be out by the end of 2017. I mean let's team up making a Scratch 2.0 modification named Scratch 2.1!
