How do you create scratch mods?

Hello, I was wondering what I need to know to create scratch mods. Like, what should I download, and what scripting language I should look into. Thanks! k9lego.

Currently only Scratch 1.4, which is programmed in Squeak can be modded. Scratch 2.0 is programmed in actionscript, but it's source code hasn't been released yet. Here is 1.4's source: http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Scratch_Source_Code_Licensed_Code Most tutorials for modding were on the 1.4 forums, which are gone now, but here's the tutorial from the wiki: http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Modding_Tutorial You'll also be able to find some tutorials on these forums if you look around.
