1. Outline. Outlining what your resume is going to be in advance can be helpful. Choose what you are going to include, how long it is going to be, and what information you are planning to highlight in the piece. Outlines are easiest to write and best displayed in bullet note lists.
   
2. Form. Choose whether you are going to be make your resume a bullet note list, or a paragraph which flows like an essay or story. Choose which one you feel will better convey the message which you want to get across to the reader. Choose whether to feel relatable or professional in your writing. Scrutinizing the user who will review your resume should give you an idea of which style to choose.
   
3. Timeline. Having your events ordered chronologically will help orient your reader, and show the progression of your career. This will help distinguish the events which are ongoing from those which have already been completed.
   
4. Grammar. Make sure to run a simple spellcheck, which is standard on most computers, and fix any spelling/grammatical errors which it picks up. Not doing such may be interpreted as a sign of negligence and carelessness, which gives an unprofessional feel to your resume.

Hello! My name is rainbow132, and I love creative writing, helping other scratchers in the forums and coding! I know several coding languages, such as Basic Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I am Co -Owner of the 5 Star Scratch Shop and a member of a couple of other shops.

I've been on scratch for a few years, but honestly, let me tell you I only started to properly use scratch in the past year. I first began to make a couple of projects last year for fun, but I didn't share them because they were still in progress and needed a lot of work. But I kept at it, and pretty soon I made a couple of good projects and shared them.

I was making good progress then, and in a few weeks I found out about the discussion page! I loved going to the discussion page, even though I didn't have a lot of experience there because it was kind of new to me. I began to join collaborations and shops, and used the aspect I liked the most of scratch, (which is art), as my main topic that I would use. I joined lots of shops and collaborations, and I eventually made my own collaborations after a few weeks. I eventually joined the scratch wiki, and since then I've improved my status among scratch and joined the Service Planning Department! I've learned so many new things in the past year and one thing that I would like to say, is that if you like doing a certain aspect of scratch, whether it's coding, art, music, whatever you enjoy, there are plenty of collaberations out there to join and have fun with!

So that's my resume so far, and I hope you enjoyed it!

Example Resume: by Bigpuppy

I joined Scratch on February 14th, 2012. Back then it was still the 1.4 days, and we didn't have all this cool stuff like vector graphics and an online editor (you had to download the editor). Back then I was really bad at Scratch (no offense, past self), but still it was really fun and I got hooked. In 2012 I submitted a couple projects to a few SDS's (now those projects are unshared, but more about that later). When I saw the announcement that the Scratch 1.4 website was going to be gone soon and replaced with the 2.0 website, I was sad that the 1.4 website was going to be gone, but also happy. I mean, they were doing a complete redesign of the whole website! It was going to be awesome.

In 2013, in Scratch 2.0, I discovered the forums. I thought “Why not?”, because I had never even clicked the button for forums on the 1.4 website, so I was thinking “I could be missing out on some awesome Scratch feature! Why not try it now?”. So I did. On the forums, I created my first collaboration (PupAt Inc.). It didn't work out, because we only had two users and I don't think we ever created any projects, except for the info one about the company. A couple months ago I ended up closing that topic. In 2012 and 2013 I also made multiple coloring contests (CCs) and they never got very popular but a few people joined them.

Somewhere around here in my “scratch timeline”, I became a part of a studio that would soon be featured (❧Ornithologists Unite❧), and is still (kind of) active today! I also created a few studios of my own. I created a project called The Stairway of Random, that ended up getting featured even though it was very simple. I was very happy. Also near this time in 2014, I became a Scratch Wiki Editor, though I wasn't very active until 2016.

Around 2014-2015, I saw all those major contests like Colour Wars, and I wanted to create a competition of my own. I made a contest that I thought would be very fun to do (The Fursona Games). I was right, it was very fun to do! Not as many people as I expected would enter entered, but that didn't prevent it from being fun for me. Also in 2014 or 2015 (I can't remember) I discovered the Front Page Curator (FPC) program and decided to enter. I created my first application (now unshared).

Not too long ago, in June of 2016 I discovered the many shops of the forums. I (always wanting to create something of my own) created one, not knowing that this would become the second largest active shop on Scratch in 2017. This was Bigpuppy's Shop. In July of 2016 I saw the many Scratch newspaper collaborations, and, of course, I had to create one of my own. I created The Nano Paper, and it actually got way more popular than I ever expected. We had a lot of staff. Around September of 2016 the activity of the Nano Paper started to drop a lot (probably because of school starting, though I can never be sure). I created an emotional (at least for me) closing message.

Around the same time, I re-discovered the SDS. At the time it was the Design a New Scratch Character SDS. I started helping out, giving feedback and saying stuff like “a curator will review this project soon.” I really had a blast. In the next SDS I continued helping out, and in the next one in 2017, the Scratch 101 SDS, where you could make tutorials, I actually got invited to curate, along with a few other Scratchers. I wasn't a real SDS curator, for all you out there wondering, as I didn't get invited to the next one. Also around August of 2016, I created the soon-to-be-stickied new Suggestions Directory, as the old one was getting very inactive.

In November of 2016, I created the collaboration Under the Cursor Sky: A point n' click adventure. We actually got pretty far in developing the game, but we never finished it.

In December of 2016 I made a very long post about Sigton's Shop's off-topicness (is that even a word?). Hopefully it helped them try to get rid of some of their off-topicness. In April of 2017 I got invited to curate some different studios created by the Scratch Team. One of them was the Happy Birthday, Scratch! studio. I worked very hard on adding projects to these studios. Around this time also started helping out in the Welcoming Committee, though not as much as I did the SDS. I also created a project for the welcoming committee.

In May of 2017, I applied and became a part of @Malik44's Scratch Helper Team. I started answering questions. Also around this time I applied for the Services Planning Department, created by @makethebrainhappy.
