Bump…? I know this isn't my topic, but I'm not sure if that is a necropost.

It doesn't defeat any purpose. It also means people aren't massive trolls and mess up replies by closing the topic for a while and then re-opening it.

This is something that really needs to be added. I accidentally clicked the close topic button on this, my beloved shop. There should be a notification asking you if you're sure want to close the topic. You can contact the ST but that can take a while.

How exactly would you have this be executed? Would it be the simple prompt coming up saying “Are you sure you want to close this topic?” or would there be another process?

Support for a prompt. Just not too many or the user could get annoyed

The OP appears to want just a simple Y/N prompt to prevent misclicks and nothing more.
I support this idea.
