OKAY, so I'm well aware that 1.4 is an old version but for the project I'm doing I'm using 1.4 because it lets you use your own fonts. However all of a sudden it's just locked up. It's still open now! I daren't Cmd+Shift+Esc it because I haven't saved and I would lose a good 3 hours of work (Yes, I am on a Mac) and I really don't want to lose it all.

Please Help!!!

You might use the Scratch 2, or even pack in you work (If you don't want to continue).

Yes, thankyou, I wasn't asking if I should use 2.0 or if I wanted to pack it in, it's been doing nothing for a good few hours now.
I asked if there's any way I can recover the program without losing my work (And if it wasn't clear in the first post then that's what I mean)

I'm afraid that if Scratch has crashed then there's no way to get your work back.

The only thing I can suggest is to save every 5 minutes next time, or use Scratch 2.0.
