Pansong
Pansong is a disease that dwells in contaminated freshwater. it can be spread through bodily fluids as well. the microbe is rather large, making it difficult to get to the brain (i think?), but once its inside, things go nuts.
Pansong causes extreme anxiety and forgetfulness in those afflicted in early cases, and eventually transitions into enormous panic attacks and hallucinations, and eventually insanity. its not deadly on its own, but it can make the afflicted act abnormally, which may result in them dying.
IRL Origin:
the name “Pansong” comes from Pan, the greek god of… whatever hes the god of, hes weird. but we get “panic” (at the disco (jk)) from it. which is supposed to come from his PANpipe. so its PAN song. Pansong. it makes you go insane.

The Gūthrong (GOO-throng)
The Gūthrong were a race of sentients that lived on the moon before humans or even life sprung onto earth. They lived before the earth or moon even left their violent, volcanic state. In appearance they looked like walking pyramids, with pyramidal feet and manipulative stalks (I would barely dare (ha) venture to call them arms). They were crystalline beings. Thus, their machinery was crystalline as well.
Perhaps they were of the same origin as the Anthrites?? /o\ illuminati
Anyways. They didn't have much in the way of mobile machinery, but rather communicative devices. Like us humans, they were dying to know if Earth had intelligent life.
Thus produced the only thing that we know about the Gūthrong (pretty much):
They built rings of crystalline pyramids, 3, then 9, then 27, 81, 243, 729, and, on the outmost edge of the face, 2187, on the near side of the moon. These were about 60-80 feet tall, or the uncovered parts were. The Keystone, however, which sat at the middle of the ring, was some 400 feet tall. The purpose of this ring was to bathe the earth in a signal, the likes of which is perplexing, to elicit a response from intelligent life.
Nothing in the some several hundred million years came.
So they all died 4 billion years before any intelligent life even began to be born.
Anyways. So this structure miraculously survived the cooling of the moon, and the bombardment of the planet, and every full moon, for four billion years, the ring has been activated.
When Earth became Gaea, the world of dinosaurs (not to be confused with Gaia, the Kan-rii of earth), the Machine still functioned. It still bathed Earth in its message. This was received, in a way, by its inhabitants. Any eggs of the Dragon or Wyvern races that hatched while this signal was being casted (for, in its billion silver of years of existence, it had become a little broken, to say the least, and didn't function as often a single it used to) were gifted. Sometimes it was small, the ability to think quicker than anyone else, to learn faster, or to be incredibly creative. Sometimes it came to extremes: the reading of others minds, or seeing the immediate future. Sometimes catching a glimpse into the Yx (most with this gift didn't survive long). Very rarely did it go very far in these fields, however.
Not a lot of these remain today, though a few were found by Lunan colonists in the early days of the Expansion. They are the only thing we have to tell us that the Gūthrong existed. (We don't even know they're called the Gūthrong technically)

The Expansion Age
After a while, us humans got tired of Earth. Mars wasn't already colonized in the late 2000s, and fully inhabited by the early 3000s. Venus remained hardly touched on acount of its inhospitality, Mercury became a solar farm of sorts, a “gas station” for passing Starships (when it was at a good position). The asteroid belt became a thousand laboratories. Jupiter a floating factory complex. We expanded all over our solar system, out to the Kuiper belt even. This we turned into a mine and outpost field. Twice, invasions were stopped because of this line, though with great loss.
Imagine how freaked out everyone must've been when all of a sudden Earth was torn from its place lol

The Blue Shield
The Blue Shield is a branch of the United Galaxy Federation Military, specifically its Army (the only branches are Navy, Army, Special Forces (the super sneaky stuff), and the Praetorians, a sort of coast guard in space). Soldiers wear on their gravity armor (more on those later) a, well, blue shield, on the shoulder, as well as blue stripes. They are the front line of the army, and thus anyone who gets the Blue Shield on their draft card is often said to be “sent to the gallows”. Not many make it back.
Since we're talking bout it, I'll put this in too.
Gravity armor
A planet or moons or asteroids gravity is determined by its size. Thus, every planet is different from Earth (excluding Allergreen) in its gravity. So during the Expansion Age, us humans devised a magnificent device to make sure the terrible things that happen to people in low or high gravity don't: the gravity armor. It adjusts gravity as needed for its human wearer, as well as functions as battle armor. Rudimentary life support included. It's seen lots of changes over the years, but has basically remained the same. Currently, a fully functioning gravity armor suit contains the following:
HUD on the inside visor (displays possible threats, shows you your buddies (each suit has a pinger that tells the other suits it's there), among other useful information)
Headlights
Gravity (duh)
Magnetic gloves and boots (able to be activated when necessary)
Clamps for guns on the back
Life support (oxygen, heat, various medications and microsurgical outputs when necessary, etc)
Medpacks in case of emergency
Deployable laser shield (a few pylons that have powerful lasers in between them, for stopping bullets (and other lasers by means of destructive interference))
Hydraulics to take some of the weight off
Storage in the thigh, hip, and back
Miscellaneous other useful things
Thin but powerful carbon-microtube mesh plates (dude these things exist!!! They're so cool!!!!)

gravity armor vs. power armor
ok so there is a HUGE difference between these two devices.
i already said what gravity armor is.
so now its time for power armor.
ok so actually, power armor is a lot like gravity armor, and i guess the term is technically interchangeable, sorta. gravity armor is a powered armor, while power armor is a variant of gravity armor.
but still.
power armor, for one, is GIGANTIC compared to a human. even bigger than the original gravity armor, which was clunky and looked like the marines from Starcraft. it nearly doubles your height.
second, power armor isnt meant to be worn everywhere. its built for the guys who run (very slowly cuz its huge) into battle headfirst guns blazing. its a tank. it doesnt have fingers really either. just giant clamps, with guns on the sides (a gatling gun on one, a rocket launcher on the other).
so yeah. i guess it isnt a huge difference, but its enough

Sauritanastros (sawr-ih-tan-AS-trose)
Sauritanastros is the home world of the Stellosauria/Stellosauritan. It is the location of the Goldeneyes and the Grand Parliament, as well as the Soul Well.
Sauritanastros began as a normal world, devoid of life. However, several billion years ago, an unknown race built a factory on it, harnessing a strange, living ore that grew within the violent young world. Over time, the machines began to become self aware, and long outlived their creators. Eventually they built more factories around the planet, and slowly it became covered in them. The Stellosauria took to the stars, building Spacefarers to travel across the galaxy. They sent samples of the Ore with them, which they planted in young worlds. None, however, seemed to take hold. Thus, new Stellosauria could only be produced by removing a cyst from the core and placing it into a body, which it grew in and changed.
NOTE:
Ok I'll admit, I kinda stole this from Transformers. I just think it's a real neat idea, yknow? Also it's not ENTIRELY from it. Just the concept of like, living machines (well, actually, its a piece of the Ore inside a nonliving body, but it has grown to use it, become inseparable from it, therefore making it, too, essentially living)

Knife-and-Chain
the Knife-and-Chain are a long-range melee weapon invented by the Skyplair family. it consists of, well, a knife and a chain. the chain is attached to a gauntlet, and the other end to a long, ornate knife (or in soe cases a very small knife, with a much smaller chain going around a rotating spool that can be locked or unlocked by the user. these are meant to be stealthily used weapons, small enough to be hidden in sleeves). if the wielder is skilled enough, knife-and-chains can be used to deadly proportions. otherwise its a lot of work which usually amounts to yourself being very very hurt.

Busters
Felprion Starships Manufacturing Company H-980 Heavy Bombardment Stellar Vessels, also known as Busters or Holepunchers, are fairly maneuverable spacecraft, but are very slow. they are basically glorified shields with flight capabilities, life support, and mass drivers. the mass drivers are where they get their reputation.
mass drivers, also called Gauss guns or coil guns, are firearms that operate using electromagnetic coils activated in succession to pull a slug (the term used for the projectile fired from a coil gun) out of the barrel, which has high recoil, but once the slug gets going, well… then its quite literally a “Loose Freight Train in Space”. theres no stopping it. thus, it “busts” things quite easily.
Busters have two of these rail guns, and so they fire quite slowly. however, since theyre more or less moving shields, the reload isnt too much of a problem. especially if theres enough Busters all lined up.

Felprion (fel-PREE-on) Starships Manufacturing Company
Felprion was a manufacturer operating chiefly in the Expansion Age, although their daughter company Felprion Governor (totally not based off Woodward Governor (which, by the way, there is one within walking distance of my house, and they built aerospace parts there!!! i think. i know they build plane parts)) still builds starships such as the H-980 MK-VII for the Oogaf.
Felprion's ships include:
(note: H = Heavy, C = Carrier, F = Fighter, B = Bomber, F = Flagship or Cruiser, S = Stealth, D = Drone or Unmanned)
H-980 “Buster”
HC-7233 Atlas
F-67 Panther
F-55 Huntress
D-20 Alpha Wolf
im probly changing these numbers sometime, when i work out a system. right now theyre random numbers XD

Gueulemer (geh-YOU-luh-merr)
Gueulemer are large, rather disturbing, and very stupid beasts that live in the intricate cave systems that are sprinkled throughout Allergreen. They are humanoid in shape, with large arms and chests covered in tough grey carapace. Their legs are relatively small in comparison, much like their bird-like heads. Their hunched back is covered with a mass of feathers down the middle and up to the wide neck, flanked by the carapace that covers their lower back, arms, chest, and sides. They live in small bands, and fashion basic tools out of whatever they find. Although their heads are small, their beaks are very sharp, and they can run fast, making them fairly successful hunters. They wear bits of leather as makeshift clothes for whatever reason.
Babet (ba-BETT)
The Babet live in competition with the Gueulemer, but unlike them, are small, thin, and dexterous, with large heads and thin fingers. They are rather intelligent, but also very violent. They often travel to the understories of cities disguised as small humans or Allers, although their success rates are debatable.
Babet have beady eyes and large mouths with many small sharp teeth, and can imitate most sounds.
Claquesous (KLAK-ess-oos)
Claquesous is an elusive being, whom many say simply doesn't exist. He only is ever seen at night, and when people do see his face, it is covered by mask, which is split down the middle with the mask of comedy and tragedy. When he wants to move quickly, he just melts into the ground or fades the darkness, his destination never seen. No one is sure what he does, as he doesn't really do much of anything.
Montparnesse
Montparnesse is a young child who is already famous among thieves. No one has been able to catch him, neither in the act nor catching to arrest. They just know he's the one who does it. He's a very inconspicuous-looking fellow, which adds to his success
IRL origin:
These are actually the names of four bandits in Les Mis, but like, the way he described the first one gave me such a weird picture, I had to use it. Fun fact: Hugo spends 5 pages describing them, and in the next fourty pages completely ignores them -_- ughhhhh

Phantasmagoria (fan-taz-muh-GORE-ee-yuh)
Phantasmagoria, often called the City of Fled Souls, is a rather large city located in Underworld, very far away from most of the other cities in Osiris' kingdom. it is where the less sociable of the Phantasms dwell, although, at first glance, it looks very deserted, although far from decrepit. few visit there, as these Phantasms, called Wendigo by some, tend to be less friendly towards others. many who go never come back, although that may be due to the wild landscape that lies in front of it. nobody goes there much.
