Yes, I know many people have asked when, but I am putting a little more thought into this topic post.

Scratch Team, the CVs have been in an alright-working state already - with cloud lists (remember back to the alpha?) and everything seemed fine and dandy. But here we are, having beta CVs for nearly two months. A lot of people are waiting on cloud lists to release very big apps. Don't believe me? Here's a few:

- Griffpatch is waiting on cloud lists to synchronize data so he can add in more levels and finish Scratchnapped.
- mikeono102 is waiting on cloud lists to sync data on his OS, primarily Ono OS.
- uglypear is waiting on cloud lists to do Retina OS 11 (I think).
- FireNinjaGAME (me) is waiting on cloud lists to add highscores to SwatMeNot, and to have save data for Recon.

So why on Earth haven't we gotten to see a new beta, or maybe a release, or even just a video showing progress has been made???

It seems like Scratch is trying to keep these beta CVs, and not move forward into a better version of them (with lists and strings). This is not about the chatroom, this is about making them be released. Scratch Team, how much progress do we really have on cloud data? Because right now, as far as everyone but you knows, we don't have any.

Please take the time to answer this. PLEASE let us know.

I could use these for a million different things.

i need it for a scratch PC i'm making which has the internet! i need them!

and also this thing where you can draw flags and take over other planets

Its because they need more moderation on Scratch,because a user might do something inappropriate with Cloud Lists.

Using that answer, we could never get cloud lists. Someone will always find a way to do something inappropriate with things. Does that mean we have to wait forever?

Alright, I have some news. Lightnin says the next feature for cloud data they want to roll out is cloud strings (Cloud Variables with strings). Then cloud lists will come afterwards!

NEW: cloud variables with strings are out! Sadly cloud lists could be used for evil, they are not coming on scratch!

That's great that Cloud Variables with strings are coming out! I might have a good use for those cloud lists. Does anyone know how many mods there are right now? If we increase the number of people that can be trusted, then adding cloud lists might be easier for everyone.

about 7 moderators? i know that we've had about 13 moderators overall, 6 have retired if those numbers are correct.

Incrementally, they said. They'll start with String Variables and then move on to Lists.

Did you see this post Chainmanner? I still think we should have more mods even if they're volunteers. I'm pretty sure many people would jump at the oppurtunity at being a mod

Im planning on using all of the new cloud strings to make safe chat rooms, with about 100 to 200 things you can use.. AND IF THEY make it so you can use more than 10 i am going to make it so you can choose people to chat with lol! Cant wait.

Aren't cloud lists basically unlimited cloud variables? But still YES! I want cloud lists! *Gasp* Griffpatch is still working on Scratchnapped?!
