How do I change the color....... at first?

What I mean is, in the FIRST BACKDROP you CAN change the color but when you get to the other backdrops you CANT. HOW DO I DO IT?!

Abstract-

Well, you could try putting this script in the sprite you want to change colors.

when green flag clicked
forever
if <(variable) = [first]> then 
change [color v] effect by (25)

end
end

Just make sure to make the variable equal something else at the end.
