I can imagine this situation happening in ROBLOX.
Kid: “how old do you have to be to say numbers?”
Other Kid: “##”
“########”
“agh”
already happening with me and my friend with in-game currency management, amounts of items we need, etc.

RIP all 13- users. Numbers will now be filtered.
Oh, and that update rolled out today.
So people under 13 can't see any numbers, but older people can?
I thought maybe they just don't want people saying their age, but either way it would be ridiculous

Which is more offensive? A person saying to a ROBLOX player that Minecraft is the best, or a person saying to a Minecraft player that ROBLOX is the best? Hehe

yep, very! They're basically telling us that we aren't responsible enough to know not to give out phone numbers and addresses despite our parents always talking to us about privacy 24/7. They might also suspect that the 13- players of Roblox will use bigger vocabulary the wrong way? I mean, this is true for some people, but really? 13+? Can't they at least lower it to 11+? Something tells me that Roblox might be taking the many offensive news articles a tad bit too serious, though we should understand that they are only trying to make Roblox a safe environment with positive articles inviting individuals of all ages to play. Maybe the reason why they removed Tix was because they needed an extra money boost from losing some players from articles about cyberbullying in Roblox? Ooh, I have to study this!

You might be on to something there. Most “market” updates such as Limited items, the removal of tickets (and thus of currency trading - which was the main way NBCs could get money) and BC-exclusives overall are all ways to make ROBLOX into a “pay-to-win” social game, rather than the original point it had: being a space for creative people to make their own virtual worlds. Now the only point anyone ever sees in creating a popular game is for profit (hence why most of the popular games are just lame copies of popular concepts, i.e. CoD-likes, “High School/Town” games where people hang up and meet people, etc.). With things such as the Developers Program, this is even more explicit (you can earn actual cash from making a popular game).

Guess this was something to be expected from a game that needs huge amounts of money to run (to keep servers active etc). Anyhow, I miss the old, 2007-2009 ROBLOX.

EDIT: typed “play-to-win” instead of “pay-to-win”, which is pretty much the guiding principle of roblox now

A lot of the mini-game games I play are just the same “mini-game” concept.

then they created thec0mmunity group and scammed people for robux, that's all.

agreed right back, quite a few major sites are changing the way they work, making people create products that don't depict one's creativity and instead trying to go with the trends to gain more popularity and maybe even somehow get a job out of it. I mean, people are making profits out of buying and selling limiteds like you said! Roblox is basically a job now, im just gonna go back to board game rpg's until something changes ;-;

(woo, grammar mistakes for the win :-D)

March 24th?
Does anyone have any idea on what's gonna happen then?
I looked it up, and all I really got was hackathons by schools.
