Does scratch-vm work?

I'm pretty sure the developers' general goal is to support the last few versions of modern browsers (depending on the release schedule of those browsers, I imagine.. you might want to support Chrome 52 but not Safari 6). So if Chrome 33 doesn't work with scratch-gui, I imagine it might be out of their range of support..

Kinda off topic but - I got a notification for this topic but the URL lead to https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/412/?page=1439#post-2457538, which 403's for me. Does anyone more knowledgable in the inner workings of this forum know what happened.

A post (the post with the ID 2457538) got deleted. Going to “/unread” leads you to whatever the newest post on the thread is, even if it's not actually on the thread. So you end up going to the deleted post, except that's on the topic 412, which is a topic that regular users (i.e. non-admins) aren't allowed to see (since it's the deleted post thread!).
