1) What are you using in terms of web browsers, like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.?
2) What filetype are you using?
3) How long ago have you last tried to?
4) Does it show up on one page, but upon refresh/leaving that page, it doesn't update?

Yes you can! Go to your profile page, and click “change”. Then, choose an image that's saved to your computer. If you don't see the changes, that's because the server hasn't updated yet. Don't worry, it should finish in a few hours, or even a day. Not too long.
