Tips on learning Japanese?
I've been wanting to learn Japanese for a VER long time, but for now I only know a few words; certainly nothing that'll get me very far in a conversation.
So, if you speak Japanese as your prime or secondary language, do you think you could give me any tips? Links, words, and tricks are all appreciated, but PLEASE don't link me any “Learn A language in 3 days!” things. I don't believe those. Arigato!
That's one of the few I know OvO"
I would recommend Memrise. it has numerous courses…. just be sure to learn the Hiragana/Katakana spellings for words, not the romaji…. it may seem easier, but it'll make everything a lot harder later on.
Also, tofugu.com has some great resources for learning Hiragana and Katakana.

Tips on learning Japanese?
Welp, if you live in Japan like me, things get slightly easier. Slightly. very. but it is easier. So my first tip would be to move to Japan. My SECOND tip is to study for the JLPT proficiency tests; these things are like the metric system of Japanese; UBER OBJECTIVE AND UBER HELPFUL. Start with N5, then move up and up to N1. You'll need to pay to take the official tests, but if you don't care about official things then just use the 9001+ resources out there for studying the vocab, grammar, and kanji. Just look up N5 vocab/grammar/kanji/practice tests/practice (any of those) and start learning. This is the MOST SUREFIRE METHOD OUTSIDE OF BEING BORN A JAPANESE CITIZEN IN JAPAN. It worked for me. until I gave up. so yeah. Ganbare.

sweats…. asian languages aren't really very difficult from my personal experience, i learned how to speak mandarin fluently in about a year and a half while going to chinese school, and partially learned japanese.
honestly as weird as it sounds, that anime trash : )))) is very helpful
i've had multiple language teachers tell me that listening to music of that particular language is one of the best ways to pick up that language

Use several resources instead of just one; so you can be sure to get your words correctly. And don't use google translate; it's not your go-to thing for learning it. And practice makes perfect.

The first thing you need to do is learn the easiest japanese alphabet, romajiTypically, one learns hiragana first, with romaji at the same time. And romaji isn't an alphabet per se.

It would be a great skill to have if you work for a big company who has to work with Japanese businesses, as well.it's arigatou or arigatō, if you want to be nitpickyI've been wanting to learn Japanese for a VER long time, but for now I only know a few words; certainly nothing that'll get me very far in a conversation.i think its arigito not arigato (thank you) but idk

here is a good acronym i made up:it kind of is true that japanese is used basically nowhere but japan, but it's not pointless to learn any language. it's good for your mind
D.O.N.T
as in
DOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooon't learn Japanese. EVER. It's pointless unless you live in Japan.
(plus you can watch anime and listen to vocaloid songs more efficiently and effectively)
