Scratch on iPad
Okay, I've been wrongly informed *sob*. Thanks for telling me.According to the Yep! Scratch will be converted to HTML5, and you will be able to use it on mobile devices. It should be premiering sometime in the near future, like early-mid 2017.Wiki article and a few other sources, they're aiming for an alpha by the end of 2017 - and alpha's are before the final release.

do want a mobile app for Scratch, however that would be a bit more difficult (rewriting Scratch 2.0 (and possibly 3.0) top-down with a sharing feature), and it wouldn't be necessary as Scratch 3.0 will be written in HTML5 - something supported by iOS and Android, as well as most other web browsers. We
The reason why the full Scratch website doesn't work is because iPads are not Flash-compatible.
If you're impatient, and you would like to use a functional Scratch now on a Flash-running web browser, use footsocktoe's suggestion:___ The Puffin app will let you use Scratch, I think, on an iPad. Or any app browser that enables Flash should work. You should suggest a new character and block in the I think scratch for iPad should have a new exlusive alien to the app like blip (blip is a thing I made up)Suggestions forum, rather than here.
or a new block likkif <Sprite 1 is moving then..>
else
You get the idea...
endI don't see a proper iPad Scratch app as the solution - as of now, you could go with Scratch Jr., an official MIT app, or wait until Scratch 3.0 is released late next year which will be HTML5 compatible - meaning it could be used on Safari. iPads for children should be run with the appropriate level of Restrictions to prevent them seeing unsuitable content. Puffin has the following problems:
1. The app is rated mature, because it has full Internet access. If the iPad is locked down to a lower age level, then Puffin cannot be installed.
2. Worryingly, Puffin does not obey to iOS Restrictions.
3. Puffin does not appear to have it's own content filters/restrictions of its own.
We really need a proper iPad Scratch app. I suspect it'll have to wait until after Scratch is migrated from Adobe technologies to pure HTML5.Isn't that Scratch Jr., if otherwise may I have a source? Heard that MIT is working on an officially Scratch app!I'm not sure what you're saying - blocks are part of Scratch. I'm sorry but the scratch wiki is not up to date the leaving scratch behind and making a ugly programme called blocks:-(Yes, because it's written in HTML5. Actually, in the big 3.0 update coming sometime this year, you will be able to work on projects through the Scratch website on mobile devices (That includes things like iPads and tablets)Look on the scratch wiki about scratch :-/

I don't see why you think they're ugly. I appreciate the minimalist design, and how you can put blocks from left to right now. What I mean is that There using ugly blocks from blocky. Blockly is horrible!

Guess you'll have to make do, then. I think there are some decent Scratch clones you can find on the App Store, maybe try those. And puffin skips the important info! But on puffin the sensitivity is bad and theres no ristrictions!

It's alright if you spelt it wrong, and I can't find a source that they're replacing Scratch with that program? Austenio (Sorry if I spelt it wrong)What I mean is that there almost replacing scratch with a new programme called “Blocks”.
Your previous advice is helpful, excluding this one. Don't randomly buy apps on the App Store unless it's trustworthy, people. There's still malicious code on mobile devices. Guess you'll have to make do, then. I think there are some decent Scratch clones you can find on the App Store, maybe try those.
I think there's already one, however it costs USD$1.99? I haven't checked. I wonder if someones going to make a fan made scratch for I-pad but name something else:-0
He'll have to work with MIT and stuff for licensing and stuff - overall I think it's up to the ST which I doubt they'll do, instead focus on the My dad codes maby he can make 1!Scratch 3.0 edition which will work on HTML5 - which will work on iPads.

Lets not shorthand here. My dad codes maby he can make 1!
Also, your dad would have to talk with the MIT Scratch Team in Massachusetts. Scratch is a copyrighted program, so he can't illegally copy the
Scratch website, or its editor to a mobile app without permission according to section 5 of the terms of use. Actually, its considered against terms of use to use the modified editor and share projects from it.
You may only submit user-generated projects that were created with (1) the Scratch website editor or (2) an unmodified copy of the Scratch editor compiled from the source code described in Section 5.3. You may not upload any projects that were created, by you or by anyone else, with a modified version of the Scratch editor.
So if someone makes one, then they may get in a bit of trouble.
