My life after Scratch.
Hey what's up guys,
My name is Christopher and today I am here to talk a little bit about myself and how Scratch helped change my life.
So when I first start using Scratch I was around the age of 7 and I was in primary school in Hong Kong, I thought it was the coolest thing ever; I can make games!
At the time I did not join the online community, I did not feel the need to, but skip forward a few years to 2013 and I was back at it again, this time as part of my I.T class, by this stage I had all but forgot about Scratch. I was told to make a game and depending on how I did was basically my end of year grade, so I ended up making Cat at the Coast (found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/63666092/ ), now one of my oldest projects. I did ok, still top of the class, but ok by my standards. As you can see in my profile, that encouraged me to go on and make a few other projects, notably; Bear Blaster (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/66126334/ ), Kings and Queens (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/68085478/ ), Password Genie (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/70848840/ ) and cm8263's text engine (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/71762900/ ).
These projects where a little bit of fun, I sunk a fair few hours into each, trying to make something different.
After this I started to get into websites and code, mainly; HTML (Hype Text Mark-Up Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and my personal favourite - PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor).
The reason I got into websites was because my I.T assessment one year was to make and plan a project and make it, originally I was going to just make another scratch game, but I changed my mind, and tried something new.
Nowerdays I make and sell PHP scripts, such as my latest PHP report script. I reason I am writing this is because this month marks my 3 year anniversary on Scratch, and while I may not be as active as I use to, Scratch still hold a special place in my heart.
