At long last, we're ready to release Scratch 2.0! It will take a while to update everything, so both the old and new Scratch websites will be closed for 3 days, on May 6, 7, 8 . On May 9, beta.scratch.mit.edu will become scratch.mit.edu. So we’ll see you on scratch.mit.edu on May 9!

Will cloud lists be up on the release or later, or even possibly sooner?

No! But they'll come pretty soon after. We decided that we need to focus on the basics (like making sure the site stays up, dealing with all the challenges of the transition). As soon as we get through that and things are stable for a couple of weeks, we'll bring out strings, and follow that with lists if all goes well.

Does this mean the offline version will be released?
