When I use Scratch at school (Chrome and IE on Windows 7), I can't load any of my own projects (it gets stuck on a Project Loading, Asset 5 out of 5 screen), but I can load any project in my account that is a remix of someone else project. I can start new projects and they work fine, too. A few days ago everything was working fine for me. Here is one of my shared projects that hangs for me: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13579292/

Maybe you can try using the test player and see if it works there. Also, maybe try clearing your cache (probably won't help). Projects usually hang a while at the end of the loading bar for me… And it you have it, try Firefox. What version of Flash are you using? Click that little globe button above the post box to post your specs.

Have you tried refreshing the page with a hard refresh CTRL + F5 keys?

Also try right clicking on the Tab and choosing Reload. I noticed that worked better with another website I sometimes have users come accross with a similar thing.

My projects are black and won't load. I am at home, and I already tried, google chrome, safari, and firefox, and refreshed my computer. What should I do? I am working on a very important project and i need to finish!

One of my students is having a similar with a game of hers.
When I transfer it to my computer I also have the same problem with her game.
It will upload and download OK and can be edited and saved but does not:
1) Save into stuff area
2) Save as copy
3) Share
Whehn trying to share it it stops at asset X of X loaded

Very weird! I tried loading one with IE, and it seemed to get stuck on loading assets. However, when I refreshed the page (and opened developer tools, to look for an error in the console) it did load the second time. Does it work for you in IE after a refresh?

I have the same problem. Whenever I try to load my projects or somebody else's projects I have to reload it what seems like a million times before the project will show.

Seems to be a trend developing…

Now this problem is affecting two more projects from different users at my school. At this rate we're going to have to stop using Scratch, as it's not worth pupils working on projects only to lose all their work.

I must say, I find the lack of support disturbing.

Usually the test player works worse than the original player, and it also bugs you about making a remix. Oftentimes it works with my own projects, though.

Maybe it works with a project sometimes and doesn't other times instead of some projects working all time and some completely not working? I see many people saying that it is just their project that won't work.

Try using a better browser. I've heard that Internet Explorer is very glitchy. I use Chrome and it is still kinda glitchy, but it helps.
