Is there a way to increase the transparency of your paint?
ATM I'm working through a scratch workbook and the first step is to create a game involving a change between night and day. I won't go into too much detail as to what the game is but it's a game where you gotta catch a mouse with a net as a ghost. The day and night effect in order for the game to work must be sprites. there are no pictures in the workbook except a few lines of code so I don't actually know what the day & night sprites will look like. I know if I paint them they will look kind of bad without a transparency effect.

Technically, you can create a gradient in between a color and the erase color, and then use the eyedropper to select a color in between; it will select the semi-transparent color you click on.

Yes. If you want to increase the transparency of your costumes/backdrops on Scratch, go inside your project. Go to the section of blocks that are purple and categorized “looks.” Then look at the block that says something about effects. Click the drop-down arrow and it will give you a list of effects. Click on “ghost.” So now you will have a ghost effect, which makes your pictures more transparent. To make it more or less transparent, type in a higher or lower number on the block. I hope this helped!

Years ago, I posted several long fanfics here because I had no other platform to utilize. I wrote all of these fics when I was ten or eleven. Please keep that in mind.

This doesn't seem to work for me it just uses the base colour used in the bluf effect. I don't think there is a way other than the ghost command, sorry Technically, you can create a gradient in between a color and the erase color, and then use the eyedropper to select a color in between; it will select the semi-transparent color you click on.

I have a little workaround: make a gradient between your background color and the color you want to be semi-transparent. Then click the color inbetween with the color picker. It's not actually transparent, but for me, it works.

For a sprite:So maybe you could create a duplicate of the drawing then delete everything except the part you want to be transparent then increase the ghost effect. For background: Make a sprite then delete everything except the part you want to be transparent then increase the ghost effect.

The last reply was asked over a year ago. Please do not necropost.
