is scratch a social media website to new scratchers?

i feel like a bunch of scratchers think that scratch is social media, but it's not (at least i think its not). so is it actually social media?

Yes and no, I guess. There's some elements that you would find on a social media site. However it's still a programming site.

Bright-Idea

Scratch is a place to learn programming. However, their motto is Imagine, Program, Share. So the whole “sharing” aspect has created a sort of Social Media. Commenting, favoriting/loving, followers, they're all features you'd find on an average social media site.
