OK, so before we start, let me show a mock-up of this first.
OK, got that? Great. Now here is the same image but marked, so I can tell you what the suggestion is.
Those red things are to help me tell you what the suggestion is, they wouldn't be in the actual thing.
1. The main thing of this suggestion, the profile banner! This is a banner that you can have on your profile. It would be useful for displaying adverts for your new projects, telling news about the account and more! Please don't say “No support, this is useless” because it does have uses.
2. The report button. If the banner is inappropriate, you can report it using that button.
3. The “change” button. Click on that to upload your banner.

- There would be an option to make banners link to somewhere (like a project, forum thread, or another website entirely).
- Banner size could be customizable and also an option to make it display at the top of the page, like a header, rather than in the profile space (removing the ability to link somewhere if this option was enabled).
- User can disable banner altogether.

This could be useful in some ways (like advertising). Perhaps the ability for the banner to hyperlink to something in the Scratch domain and the ability to hide the banner if you don't need it would be really nice as well.

Like literally no one will make a banner so concise to that size.
I'll only support a full-size banner above the username.

I don't support this since it's very small.Are you serious? I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, hope you are being sarcastic. It is OBVIOUSLY a mock-up, and I'm guessing you haven't using MS-Paint before, because resizing stuff makes them look horrible.

Full Support. It would give Scratchers the ability to customize their profiles as they please. Perhaps if they wanted, could the banner also provide a hyper-link?

I don't want to be That person?? But I do enjoy making small banners like the one shown. I usually do it for sake of Chicken Smoothie, as signature coding involves multiple small banners such as that one. Sorry for the barge in.

support for the topic, double support here for the mention of CS LOLI don't want to be That person?? But I do enjoy making small banners like the one shown. I usually do it for sake of Chicken Smoothie, as signature coding involves multiple small banners such as that one. Sorry for the barge in.

Support. Why deal with the minuscule amount of text allowed in your About Me section when you can have a scrolling sign right beside your location?

I would have semi-supported if you had not mentioned you can disable it, but since you said that I am left with no reason to object. Now that I have a shop in the Requests forum, I would love to be able to advertise it on my profile without commenting on the toppest area by copying, pasting, and deleting stuff.
