Downloading/Backpack Credits
I've been on scratch, looking at projects, and I see a popular/front paged project where the user downloads another users work or puts it in their backpack and uploads it to their project and take 100% credit for it. I've seen people (not calling out names,) that JUST do this and people fall for it. They think they made it and follow/love and favorite it. That's just wrong. That's pretty much theft.
So, maybe a function so when you download/put something in your backpack it saves the username of the person who originally made the project, and shows their username and/or the original project in the credits would solve this problem.
Agree with me? Post a comment saying you support this if you do and you'll be added to the list!

Lots of people debate and discuss the issues of giving credit when remixing, but I think a more important issue should be giving credit when backpacking. I backpack tons of stuff, and to be completely honest, sometimes I don't give all the credit I should. Do you want to know why? I can't remember where I backpacked that sprite from.
My idea: Make it so it tells you what project you took a sprite from. This is a very simple solution to a very big problem.
What do you think? Please give feedback so we can grow this idea. I think this would solve lots of problems, and make it overall easier to use the backpacking system.

Support. While I can just name a sprite or sound to include the original name, sometimes I forget to do it, and it becomes more difficult to do this with scripts because you can't give them a name and comments don't save in the backpack.

! I think that I forget to credit people's scripts in the backpack sometimes.
Will it be in the Notes and Credits or will it be in a comment in the scripting area?

SupportI was thinking it would be a message in the actual backpack, with a link to the project beneath the sprite. (Only the person who backpacked that sprite will see it)! I think that I forget to credit people's scripts in the backpack sometimes.

Support! This idea is good, and yes, people sometimes forget where they got the sprite, script, etc. from

Maybe if you drag the script an alert tells you “Make sure to give credit”?

This is a great way to prevent stealing and use without credit. Just as long as you put credit in the actual credit box as well, then support

I have an idea this is it: Hi, I have seen a lot of times where someone will just backpack all of the code in a project, and then not give any credit. I have an Idea to fix this, whenever you add something from your backpack, it will automatically give a box that gives credit (like the box you see when you remix something).
So, maybe a function so when you download/put something in your backpack it saves the username of the person who originally made the project, and shows their username and/or the original project in the credits would solve this problem.

I'd support, but there is no way for this to be implemented.

Support. Not foolproof, but certainly a big step towards stopping theft.
