The couple things I have wondered is what IS a project curator? How do you curate a project? Does it allow you to edit that project? and how does a curator get front paged?

If you want to know what is a curator and/or how to become one, please read this topic and this page of the Scratch Wiki.

A curator is a Scratcher who, for a shift of two weeks, features five projects of their choice on the Front Page via their recent favorites. They can choose whatever projects they like in those two weeks and change them, as long as the projects are not their own, do not belong to a member of the Scratch Team, and follow the Community Guidelines. The Scratch Team recommends that curators change their choice of projects on the front page at least twice a week, although curators have the option to change the projects as often as they wish.

well you curate studios and you just have to ask someone to add them to their studio.

I believe what PuppyDog meant was a Front Page Curator, rather than a Studio Curator.
