Can Remixes Change Cloud Variables?

I'm wondering if remixes can have their cloud variables seperate from the original project, does anyone know?

The way the system works, when you make a remix, the cloud variables are automatically separate from those of the original project. This is to prevent somebody from modifying them to give themselves the high score and other things like that.

What I meant is if the original had the var set to 0, then someone remixes and sets it to 1, will it be changed back to 0 because that's what the original's var is?

Can Remixes Change Cloud Variables?

No. Scratch creates a completely different cloud variable for each remixed project. So if a var was at 0 and someone remixed it, the var on the original project will not change at all. And don't forget tht just because the remixed cloud variables are named the same as the parent project, it doesn't mean they dare the same data between each other. Think about griffpatch's multiplayer games. If the remixes on that shared the same data, the original game would be useless due to other users on their own remix.

The user who remixed the project can modify THEIR OWN cloud data how ever they lik an will have no effect on the original cloud data. So no, the variable wil not set back to its original state when changed.

ok, if somebody went into a game's code and changed some cloud variables, does the entire game/ people who play the game get effected? or does it not save???

It doesn't save, or else everyone would break the cloud projects so there's nothing to worry about. Also you could open a topic instead of necroposting (posting on an old topic) but everyone makes the same mistakes
