Welcome to the Hogwarts RP!

The Hogwarts RP (which can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/3504684/projects/ ) was founded by Emberdust-WC, myself, on October 21, 2016. Even at this stage it has become more and more successful, and I hope this roleplay will continue to grow further. This RP takes place after the Harry Potter/Voldemort ordeal.

Quidditch

Quidditch… Undoubtedly the greatest sport in history. It gives the four houses a chance for a bit of friendly competition… or not. But never you mind that. Our Quidditch teams are chosen carefully by the rest of the team, consisting of a Keeper, a Seeker, 2 Beaters, and 3 Chasers. Most of the time you must be 2nd year or up to join, but lately more exceptions have been made. If you'd like to apply for a Quidditch position, you will find the application below!

Hogwarts Rule Book

Everything would be chaotic without rules, so that's why the Hogwarts Rule Book was created. If you follow these rules you are good to go!



1. Magic:

a. Magic outside of study sessions or common room may only be used in the presence of a Prefect, Head Boy/Girl, or Adult

b. Dueling may only be completed under the supervision of a Prefect, Head Boy/Girl, or Adult

c. Magic can always be used for emergencies or self defense

d. No Unforgivable Spells

e. No magic in the corridors


2. Conduct:

a. Curfew is at 10:00 pm

b. No student may leave Hogwarts grounds without parental and Headmaster permission

c. Hogsmeade is open for Third through Seventh years after breakfast until 10:00 on weekends

d. No swimming in the Black Lake without supervision from a Prefect, Head Boy/Girl, or Adult


3. House Points:

a. House points may only be awarded by faculty

b. Head Boy/Girl can take away up to 15 house points at a time for rule-breaking or misbehavior

c. Prefects may deduct up to 10 points from their respective house for misbehavior or rule-breaking

A warm and welcoming place, the Gryffindor Common Room is. You're bound to feel right at home as soon as you step inside.

“It is round and earthy and low-ceilinged; it always feels sunny, and its circular windows have a view of rippling grass and dandelions. There is a lot of burnished copper about the place, and many plants, which either hang from the ceiling or sit on the windowsills. We have the most interesting plant specimens (some of which dance and talk) to decorate our room – one reason why Hufflepuffs are often very good at Herbology. Our overstuffed sofas and chairs are upholstered in yellow and black, and our dormitories are reached through round doors in the walls of the common room. Copper lamps cast a warm light over our four-posters, all of which are covered in patchwork quilts, and copper bed warmers hang on the walls, should you have cold feet.”

"Our emblem is the eagle, which soars where others cannot climb; our house colors are blue and bronze, and our common room is found at the top of Ravenclaw Tower, behind a door with an enchanted knocker. The arched windows set into the walls of our circular common room look down at the school grounds: the lake, the Forbidden Forest, the Quidditch pitch and the Herbology gardens. No other house in the school has such stunning views.

How to Enter: One must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker. If answered wrong, they must wait for someone else to answer correctly.

Current Major Events

Now that you're in this generation, you've missed quite a lot. The Triwizard Tournament was definitely a big one. To compensate for that, Hogwarts regularly organizes events to participate in! You can sign up for them here!
