There's probably some text editors in the Chrome Web Store. This has Emacs.

Linux is not something one gets at a store. It is free, open source, and available for anyone to download.

There are many distributions of Linux, but Ubuntu is one that is pretty user-friendly: http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop
