I only really every use the Help with Scripts, Questions About Scratch, and Suggestions forums, so I don't know if this applies to other forums, but…

There is a big problem in the forums. Have you ever noticed a type of topic called “Sticky?” And have you ever noticed that a lot of times, a lot of posts on the sticky should be made into a new thread?

Oh, so close the sticky you say.

Well, what if the owner needs to know if there is any inaccurate / outdated information?

That is why I think that there should be messages for posting on sticky topics.

For example, in the Suggestions forum, whenever you posted on a sticky, it would say,

Popup Box wrote:

If you are posting a suggestion, then please make a new thread for it instead of posting on the stickies.

Maybe it should just be the same for all the stickies:
Please make sure you are posting to this sticky for its intended purpose.

That's just about as good-sounding as it'll get.

i have grown as a person. and ive grown, literally. none of my posts from before 2022 represent me accurately.

Well I couldn't really think of a “good-sounding” wording for all forums.

But what if people don't know the “intended purpose”?

Five hundred posts! I never expected to get up there… In only 2-3 months.
Does anyone know what a signature is? I mean, I've already seen 6-7 people get confused.

Full support! I tried to suggest this before, but my message wasn't cear enough. We also need to tell New Scratchers to pick a username they'll like as they sign up because changing usernames is VERY commonly suggested.

Thanks for the ride, Scratch Team and community! Unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on from Scratch, so I'll no longer be using the forums. Thanks again, and farewell!

I only check in to Scratch from time to time to see what others have been up to. I don't really post anything anymore. I'll occasionally post a question in the AT forum if I can't find an answer anywhere else.
