What do you give for Christmas?

Hello everyone!

Now this year I really run out of ideas for what to give my parents and my grandparents for Christmas^^ I personally barely buy any presents, I always make them myself.

I gave to my parents: A self-made calendar with photos from our last holidays
I gave to my mum: A self-made bookmark with a photo from the sea and shells
I gave to my dad: marzipan
I gave to my grand-parents: A collage with pictures of my family, my cat and something I drew
I gave to my friend: A “coupon” for a portrait that I will draw of her^^

What about you, do you buy or do you create?
What did you give for Christmas this year and to whom?
Any interesting stories about extraordinary presents to share?

If you don't celebrate Christmas, feel free to say what you give for other “events”

Oh and I am not quite sure whether this is the right forum… maybe since you are “making and creating” presents it would better fit in the making and creating forum?

I think this would be a better fit for Making and Creating - gift choosing often requires a lot of creativity! And sometimes you might make them as well.

I generally don't give gifts to people at Christmas, sadly enough. I always feel a bit guilty, but I don't have a source of income right now so I can't afford to buy anything.

I make cards from scratch, though.

For my brother (14 yrs): earbuds, Rubik's cube
For my sister (21 yrs): a cute wallet

for my dad: A sweater
for my oldest brother: The third book in the game of thrones
for my second oldest brother: A mouse pad
for my third and final oldest brother: two yankee candles which were packaged in boxes i spent time making (since i couldn't find any other boxes)
gift giving was so easy this year. i just asked people what they needed then got it for them.

I bought and then cleaned some old computer keyboards, took off each key and made the Steve Jobs quote “Stay hungry, stay foolish” with some of the keys and framed it as a gift. Will try to get a picture.

I've never given a present to anybody, mainly because

1. no materials
2. no money
3. no anonymity
4. only useful presents go, e.g. electronics
5. dad watches credit card transactions like a hawk
6. the stores have no stock
7. I can't cook or craft
