Garageband for Windows and Android

I'm sure you Apple users may know what Garageband is, but, if you don't know what it is, or you haven't used an Apple device, then let me tell you:

You see, that is the problem. Garageband is not available Windows and Android. But LMMS and FL Studio are available on Windows, and FL Studio is available on Android and iOS. I may be a Windows user, but, I am writing a petition for Apple to bring Garageband to Windows and Android.

If you want to sign the petition, click here. It is for the benefit of Windows users and Android users alike.

This is exactly why Apple will never give us garage band. They want us to buy their computers and their phones and their tablets. There's no money to be made in making us happy.

This is why I don't like Apple.

Actually FL Studio is only for Windows. I think Image-Line is developing an iOS version though, but the box (which is right next to me) says that it only runs on Windows.

Yeah, I guess, but, FL Studios should be for OS X as well.

I'm not really sure how to break this to you - Apple don't care. You can ask and beg all you like but unless you can put forward a ridiculously good business case for how it would be worth the enormous headache it would create for them I just don't see it happening.

It's very much in their interest to keep much of their software exclusive to their own operating systems and hardware. Making it available on others isn't just a matter of flipping a switch. People who care about the software enough shell out for the hardware to run it on. Those who can't spend the money are of no interest because, well, Apple is a business and a publicly traded one at that. Their goal isn't to make people happy, it's to make money.

If you're looking specifically for GarageBand for Windows, then try out Mixcraft. Otherwise, if you just want music programs you can do the whole rotation between FL and Ableton
