I have actually developed a new OC that I plan to use in a sci-fi AU fic that's in-progress. I've drawn several concept arts of him; I'll try and scan them in at some point.

Basically the whole deal is that he was a genetic experiment: a cross-breed of a unicorn and a dragon. In the engineering facility, he started out as a normal egg cell from a unicorn mother, and through artificial insemination, the egg was injected with gametes of a male dragon. Through further mutations and genetic modifications, his final appearance is that of an alicorn, except his wings resemble that of a dragon's, and his eyes are narrow slits instead of bright and round.

My name for him is probably going to be “Slit-eyed Scalewing,” or just Scalewing for short.

For anyone trying to put starts and “shooting stars” on their ponies, keep this in mind:

Stars are giant balls of plasma constantly undergoing fusion. The sun is 109 times the size of earth. There is no way these could float above your ponies without killing everyone.
Shooting stars are nothing but space rocks entering the atmosphere and mostly burning up. So your pony can't have these either.
