Geomon used to be an app on the app store. It was similar to pokemon, but instead they were called espers/ geomon.
It was Loki Studio's only game.
In the game, your an “agent” of a company called “EsperCorp” who learn more about the espers/ geomon. But instead of going to different in-game areas, the certain amount/ types of espers/ geomon depend on where you are, at what time, and what temperature it is outside. The battle concept was similar to pokemon, but instead of fainting, the espers/ geomon disapparated.
And for catching them, you used crystals instead of poke-balls. Oh yeah, and you got quests sometimes too. Espercorp was almost always saying an agent “discovered” a new esper/ geomon. But I guess they ran out of ideas /money /energy, because the last quest before it closed (which “explained” why it was closing) was to stop Loki from creating “Ragnarok” (thats the viking's version of the end of the world, kids) and to stop playing geomon after that because it was apparently destableizing the esper's/ geomon's world and the physical world.
It was actually pretty fun while it lasted. I was called “agent kat” (they put “agent” before your username when you make an account.). I dunno why they had to close their forums, though.

…Anyway, does anybody still remember geomon?

EDIT: Okay, so recently theres this app on the app store called “Solara”. This may seem off-topic, but guess what? the company name is "ESPER LABS LLC Games“ (the ”esper" part isnt really underlined, and espers are part of geomon!!! I think Geomon (or some version of it under a different name) might come bak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I miss that game! It was so fun!!!! Aw, man. I wish they hadnt shut it down.

I've never heard of it before, but it kind of sounds like they got the idea from Pokémon (if I'm not mistaken).

I remember the game well and found myself searching for areas to find different espers. ie Detroit I found hydra, near factories and pollution. and others near water. I read there was a disagreement on the progressions of the game between the owner slash creators so they were breaking up. Me and my kids really liked the game and searching for legendary or higher level espers

Me and my best friend loved Geomon. I still remember my Ascalon, my Tonbo, and my Pisces. And all of the revival chats on groupie when we tried to bring it back in the end it was useless but I really did think it had a chance of coming back.

Ps: ESPER LABS LLC is not related to Espercorp or Loki Studios in any way whatsoever other than the name.

Man I loved that game! Want it to come back so badly. Still trying to remake it or help with the current remake in some way.
