Chat Room (no, I'm not trying to make one)
All I'm wondering is: “if a chat room is safer than the scratch forums, does that mean anything?”

I also compared a chatroom to comments on other's projects. I think that chatrooms should definetly be allowed. Well, at least for us to test.

In my opinion, so long as a chat room is safe/safer than the scratch forums then no one can complain. But that's coming from a guy who doesn't have to deal with the chat rooms that aren't safe/safer than the forums

I agree, if a person adds a safe security system, then what's the problem?Agreed. I also compared a chatroom to comments on other's projects. I think that chatrooms should definetly be allowed. Well, at least for us to test.

Well, there always is the problem with users making up new swear words to substitute words and still get the same meaning out of them. And people can still give away personal info for them or others.I agree, if a person adds a safe security system, then what's the problem?Agreed. Yes, but we could also do that with comments, so what's the problem?Well, there always is the problem with users making up new swear words to substitute words and still get the same meaning out of them. No. Your “test” argument is not valid. Comments are easier to moderate, as the people feel well, less anonymous. We do have chat logs, but not everyone knows about that, so they might feel free to swear. This is why this won't work. I also compared a chatroom to comments on other's projects. Well, I think the Scratch Team might censor the comments as well soon, as well as project notes.Yes, but we could also do that with comments, so what's the problem?Well, there always is the problem with users making up new swear words to substitute words and still get the same meaning out of them.
