You can't clear a stamp without erasing the rest of the ink layer.

There is cloning, but you're only able to use 300 total. The clones can clear themselves.

if your background is a single colour then you could create a costume for the sprite you are stampimg in the same colour as the background and stamp that to delete?

You should not use stamps in this case, but rather cloning.

For erasing stamps, as it has been said, you could:

- cover the stamping with another sprites/layer

- put the color of the background the same color of the stamping.

But cloning is the solution I think, it depends on your project through. What is your project, have you got a link?

you could clear then instantly redraw all stamps except the one you didn't want

You could use a different stamp to cover up the pre-existing stamp. Suppose you stamp the scratch cat on a green background 5 time, you could have a green costume of the scratch cat and stamp it over the original costume.
