I have no birthmarks, but I do have a different quirk. My right ear has been slightly pointed at the tip since birth. Does that mean I'd have my gem on my ear? Feels like awkward placement.

Well, looks like we all have birthmarks in random places. And going onto the topic about gems having a certain place where their weapon is, lets just say….I want to say that the gemstones on gems are like birthmarks.
