I've never seen a single spambot on these fora, but have been quite annoyed at them while browsing through other fora. I support the "New scratchers can't post external links" version of this idea. (Still let them post internal ones.)

I semi-support. I encountered one of these bots too, in the Requests Forum, but that was deleted within seconds. Obviously, the Scratch Team are capable of handling bots by themselves. Also, what if the bot doesn't post any links? That's happened too.

Ever notice the irony in how a sticky in the Help With Scripts actually promotes using links for a broken project yet people want links to be banned for New Scratchers who have more trouble with projects…

Erm, are you all aware that we already have an automatic filter? That's how all those posts are removed so quickly. ^^

Erm, are you all aware that we already have an automatic filter? That's how all those posts are removed so quickly. ^^We do? I thought that they were moderated the same way anything else was, by someone spotting and reporting it, and it was removed manually…
So if an anti-spambot-bot is already in place, should I close this?
