What do the following do?

pen down
pen up
change pen color by ()
set pen color to ()
change pen shade by ()
set pen shade to ()

Also these:

set pen color to [#f0f]
change pen size by ()
set pen size to ()

They help you draw stuff.

pen down

puts the pen on the paper.

pen up

takes the pen off the paper.
The “changing color” blocks help you change your color of the pen.
The “pen shade” blocks change your pen shade.
The “pen size” blocks change your pen size.
If you still don't understand, play around with them for a while.
