For some reason, on the scratch 2.0 online editor, when I go on vector mode and press the capital T for text, I pressed Shift+3, but instead of coming out as a £, it came out as a capital J, and when I pressed Shift+4, it came out out as a $, which was supposed to. Can you check it out and tell me whats wrong, and can you fix it please?

Scratch doesn't support any symbols that aren't the following: `~1234567890-=!@#$%^&*()_+*/.qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm?;:'"[ ]{}|\QWERTYUIOPASDFGHJKLZXCVBNM<>

When they are input, another letter will come out in it's place. US keyboards input # when Shift+3 is pressed. That symbol isn't supported, as it is from the United Kingdom keyboard. Hope this helps!

Not everywhere, e.g. in list and variable readouts there can be displayed more symbols, like ♥♦♣♠.

OKAY OKAY! I know already. So if I couldn't do the £ sign, I just painted the sign.

Hey, guess what! When I was talking about the £ and $, the £ only came out as a J when the font was Helvetica, but the rest of the fonts come out as a £, except for the scratch font, which comes out as nothing.
