Okay, recently, a lot of duplicate topics have been appearing. These are topics that are about the same exact thing. These are actually against the rules, although not directly stated in the guidelines.i think that sometimes i happens because the other ones aren't giving those people the answers that they need. these topics are sometimes very vague and not good so the responds are not that detailed or great too. i think people are just trying to say that they really want answers!
Reasons not to create duplicates:How to avoid posting a duplicate:
- They can be very confusing, as someone might post in the wrong topic.
They clutter up the forums.
They support more duplicate topics if they don't get closed. What to do if you see a duplicate topic:
- Use the search bar to search for any topics that are about what you are going to post.
Read the Reading and Playing directory. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this, due to how little it's updated, and how long it takes to use.
Get the link to the original topic, and post it on the duplicate.
I would also report it to get the ST's/moderator's attention, as simply just posting the link probably won't work.
Thanks for reading!

That makes sense. More than one topic about the same thing is a waste and crowds forums with unnecessary topics.
How do you put a signature, with that gray line?

Excuse me for saying this if I'm wrong, but I looked up the Scratch Community Guidlines And they say n-o-t-h-i-n-g about duplicate topics.
Also, I think our world would be in chaos if we all agreed to unwritten things without knowing it…
Just saying…

Also, I think our world would be in chaos if we all agreed to unwritten things without knowing it…
if <We agree to unwritten things> then
We all probably die! What's the point of this script since this doesn't happen?
end
if <not <We agree to unwritten things>> then
We don't die of unwritten rules placed on us that we don't even know are there!
end

Sorry, I just was a little upset because I thought that if it's actually a rule that the Scratch team has, than they should put it in the guidelines. It's helpful to have things written in the guidelines so that we don't need to assume things.
