Yokai Watch

did someone say yO-KAI WATCH
Okok I have 3 YK medals (Roughraff Badude and Castelius Max) a Komasan plush and the YW game
My favorite yo-kai is Pookivil (what gender is Pookivil idk) because iT'S JUST PLAIN ADORABLE cuter than Shmoopie/Pinkipoo imo.
My current team is Shogunyan, Pinkipoo, Goldenyan, Venoct, Azure Dragon, and Frostail.
And I beat Wobblewok. Twice. And I hunted for Pookivil for 2-3 WEEKS. thats some devotion right there people
obviously this game is my new obsession

Yokai Watch

I'm getting Yokai Watch soon.
I've heard it's like Pokémon. But, other than that, I have to say that I prefer Yokai Watch's visuals more than Pokémon's. So, other than that…what are some other differences between Yokai Watch and Pokémon so I can understand better how Yokai Watch could be different and what I should expect from it?

1. Yo-Kai Watch has a much more difficult way to make friends with their characters. No immediate catches via Poke Balls, you gotta be lucky.
2. Male and Female protagonists that don't battle you every two seconds!
3. No Super Effective or Not Very Effective moves. Moves have types but they don't really do much besides have types.
4. Easier to get crits in battle.
5. No gyms.
6. No level limit, you can have a level 99 Jibanyan at the start of the game with glitching if you please.
7. You have a butler, not a Pokedex.
8. Unlike Pokemon, Yo-Kai can fuse, for the better or for the worse.
9. Reasonable item prices.
10. Battle system is kinda easy to learn, tedious at worst.
11 No IVS and EVS!!

Actually, there are super effective moves, but I don't believe not very effective moves exist.
Also, to add more differences, Yo-Kai fight on their own, so there isn't much strategy involved for that. However, team-building is very important! I strongly reccomend having a healer like Cupistol or Shmoopie on your team. I do believe Shmoopie and his evolution Pinkipoo are better though, since they having healing Inspirits as well. Cupistol and Casanuva just make a Yo-Kai on your team “popular”, which makes all enemies target a specific Yo-Kai. This can be very dangerous if you have a non-defensive Yo-Kai fighting with them! Their abilities are very helpful though, it's called Popularity, and it raises the chances of befriending an enemy Yo-Kai.

It's a video game centering around this kid who is given a strange watch by a ghost named Whisper. You get to play as said kid. The watch itself allows you to talk to monsters, ghosts, and other mythical beings. It's a role playing game, so you get to raise your own Yokai team to battle the bad Yokai causing mischief.

Yokai Watch

Yokai Watch is on Netflix now! However, it's not the American dub. This means certain scenes are edited that weren't on television and certain scenes are unedited that were on television. Also, the voices sound different and the episode titles are different.
