How large can Scratch sounds/songs get before they are corrupted?

Hi guys,
Was wondering how large the files of songs can be uploaded on Scratch without loosing it's original quality. I want to upload a 10mb clip (it's 10 minutes long, that's why) but whenever I upload it, it shows the exporting menu quickly but then quickly disappears, with a 0:00:01 clip (the first zero being a minute) of the song I uploaded. I was wondering if this is just a file cap, or just a problem with Scratch 2.0
Thanks!

That sounds like a pretty big file, I would guess it's the limit. You're always welcome to move this over to the Bugs forum section where you can better see if it's just a bug.

Just to say, the official limit for a sound is 10 MB. I'm guessing that's not the issue your facing, though, because I'd assume Scratch would try to upload your sound before encountering an error, corrupting, or chopping the sound off (I've never done it before, hence I don't know completely).

I think the issue might be with your file extension. What is the extension of your sound?

Hey, sorry for the late reply. My file is already a .mp3- so no need to export it!

I think that this is just a part of the recent string of mp3 glitches that have been appearing; it's not known why. I'm tempted to make a thread to collect reports so as to help fix the bug. It'd also have a small “bug report sheet” so that the critical information can be collected.

My thoughts,
