A new situation when reporting

Your topic starts out with a very huge first post, and one day someone quotes the monster. The page then expands ten-fold and has few words from the quoter, if any, from that new post. So I ask this:
Can a post be reported for extremely unnecessary length from quoting a huge post? Should there be something done to prevent users from expanding the page well beyond reading comfort?

And then there's huge discussions of quotes. In 1.4, there was that 3-quote limit…

I think report, not for the user breaking rules, but just so the page isn't spammed up.

Agh, I hate when people quote long posts.

I guess it would count as unnecessary spam.

Whenever I quote long posts I also snip out all but the last and first lines so people know who I am replying to but I dont destroy the pay e.o.

Well, it's not mean or offensive. Reporting it to me is a bit too much. We should just leave a message in their profile or somewhere telling them not to do it again.
if <post is too long> then
say [Don't do it again, thank you]
end

To be honest, I think that can be considered as spam, which is against the rules.

Also, please don't use scratchblocks to talk, as they're supposed to help people with scripts. If you want to test them, go to this topic.

I hate it when people quote massive quotes. It's easy to just reply by going @Insert_Name…
